My thought is Tom McDonald has catapulted to fame because his lyrics are truthful and compelling and he is meant to appeal to the younger generation and RAP lovers. His tats, hair, dress are spot on for the younger generation, and saying that on a shoestring budget, his own control (no agents, no Hollywood) he rose to fame that is appealing to many. I think he is white hat backed or promoted to cover all bases. They tried to downplay Tom McDonald too.
