In one of Tom Clancey's novels, the main plot line involves a nuclear device being detonated inside the NFL stadium in Denver during the Superbowl, which would have destroyed the entire city.

Coincidence? Or was the patriot Tom Clancey (who supposedly had strong military intelligence ties) making a statement about his personal opinion of Denver?
