Never regret your service. I don't. I didn't sign up to fight for or protect anyone or anything but the US. Neither did you. You can be pissed that they abused your patriotism and love for country, but they can't take away the fact that you did your best and did it for the right reasons.

If patriots stopped serving their country then yeah the foreign intervention would stop. Probably because they would all be here taking advantage of the lack of a defense.
