its a practical procedure that is obviously more confortable to undergo as an infant than as an adult. it is a far cry from disabling genitalia in an insane attempt at forcing a gender swap.
The “practicality” of this procedure has ranged in claims of preventing bed wetting, helping prostate cancer, and more ridiculous things. None of which are true. We live in a country where we can shower every day you do not need to force the “practicality” of ablating swaths of genital tissue onto people without their consent. We don’t live in a desert hellhole in the year 4000BC we have access to plenty of clean water to keep our bodies healthy.

People would allow a stranger to perform surgery on a baby for their own personal ideals of AESTHETICS - not only that they’re imposing their personal beauty standards on an infant’s genitals by force. Not only that, the right to do so is defended by saying the baby won’t remember the procedure.
The hair on the back of my neck stands up when I think of somebody justifying what they did to a child to fulfill their own selves by saying “they won’t remember”.
haha that is not the truth. its convenient, aesthetic, and hygienic. if you've never experienced the benefits of it, you're obviously not going to want to go undergo genital surgery to find out. but if you have the benefits, you're grateful, so you do the same to your child. that's how it propogates.
I get that we're into questioning everything these days. but if there is any harm from the practice of circumcision, its subtle enough to be unknowable. we have more pressing issues to deal with... things that very commonly lead to split petsonalities and suicide. insignificant disagreements like this just divide us further... kinda like flat earth. not worth fighting over here.
