My mother just went to her doc for a regular visit. The doc asked her how the family is doing, so she decided to ask him the same. He made rare direct eye contact with my mom and said "We're okay".
"Oh, did you have a rough time with Covid?" She asked?
Doc: "We all got it, but were okay. But I'll tell you, I am so glad I did not get my kids vaccinated. There are so many people out there suffering right now from it"
Mom: "Oh. My son (my brother) refused to get his kids vaccinated and only got it himself to keep his job. My other son (me) outright refused to get it."
Doc: "Congratulations, your sons are well read. They don't follow the sheep".
I asked her if she was serious and if he had actually used those words. She said yes.
After 2 years of my trying to convince my mother not to get the vax, in vain, this doctor finally nailed the point home to her.
I must say.. it felt damn good to hear it.
Progress.
On another note, all the boomers in my family (all vaxxed) now firmly believe "we" were duped. No offense intended to baby boomers, that just so happens to be who this millennial has been spending most of his time around lately. I know being awake knows no generational boundaries and it has more to do with the person than their age. The ones in my family just so happened to all buy into the brainwashing campaign.
Cheers frens.
I am a boomer and I refused the vax so I wish you guys would stop making it sound like boomers are stupid.
As a 40 year old , we don't think youre stupid , just genrationally conditioned. Your generation comes from a utopian culture that trusted their gov, and the government in turn was much more reasonable and trust worthy, to the degree that later generations haven't experienced.
You must be a former leftist. Because my generation definitely did NOT COME FROM A UTOPIAN CULTURE! And we definitely never trusted government. Go back to school because you obviously don't know much except for what you've been lied to about.
Yeah, but you trusted your news sources. It's not your fault, it was all that was avaliable, thus the conditioning im talking about. I mean California was like 90% white back in your hay day, life and culture was vibrant and there wasn't children being groomed to put their privates in blenders. In comparison, you're generation lived in some of the best times bc of the blood your fathers sacrificed during world War 2. If anything your fathers generation lived in a dystopia if you add federal income tax being added ( bc of the federal reserve creation) 2 world wars and the great depression.
You are utterly clueless. 🙄 My parents were children of the depression thru the war years. So many kids and no money. They shared desks and books, walked miles to school. One room school houses. Women had very little autonomy. Men too, had less choices then you imagine. My generation dealt with broken homes, divorces in both generations, gas lines, recessions, drugs, and forced careers. Being put out to fend for ourselves at 18. We handled single motherhood, rotten daycare and kids sports teams. We faced Kent state, Vietnam, bra and draft card burnings. Kennedy, Watergate, the moon walk, Challenger, 911 to name a few. My folks and my sibs have worked their ass off. Don't kid yourself . Nobody grew up in utopia. You've just been told that.
