Hey u/HermitAu I just remembered I was gonna tell you how to turn off community mode.

On the main page, hover over the gear icon and click where it says "settings". Then, scroll to where it says "Community Styling" (it should be the second option) and select "Off'. Then scroll down to where it says save and click it.

Now when you reload GAW it won't look near as good, but you will be able to downvote everything. Hope this helps!
