Just trying to be precise. The Jews or as the Greek says, "Judeans" (as in country) in Judea at the time of Christ were Edomites, Israelites and lots of other nationalities. When the term Jew is used today it is about 90% Khazar or Ashkenazi, about 9% Edomites. Either way none of those descend from Jacob. Technically the word Jew is not in the Hebrew or Greek texts. In the old it is Judah, the House of Judah. In the new it is Judea (as in country) or Judah. Judah is just one of the tribes and never stands for any other than Judah, Benjamin and those of Levi who were part of the House of Judah. When you see the word Gentiles, the Hebrew and Greek just say Nation. The who is determined by context. Many times such as Romans 2:14-15, 9:24-26 and Ephesians 2:11 the who are the Ten Northern tribes of Israel. It is too bad this is ignored by most churches these days.
