No I have not, but will definitely watch. Was just telling someone else there's a plaque in Portland Oregon dedicating to Green Man (environmental movements). How interesting.

I wasn't big on Jethro Tull, but I really liked Songs From the Wood, had a medieval feel to it. Every song was good, not one dud on the whole album. I think Jack in the Green was inspired by the Green Man.

According to English folklore (and this song), Jack is responsible for returning life to the forrest after the winter.

The Green Man is primarily interpreted as a symbol of rebirth, representing the cycle of new growth that occurs every spring.
