Never. Ever. Ever did I think I would make a post like this my frens and anons. I could use some prayers.
🧘Mental/Physical Health 🏋🏼♂️
It's time to make a stand and go it alone. I have to protect my daughter and keep her out of a school system that has harmed her already. I'm going to stand up to a system that we all know. I'm going to do it peacefully.
I pray that God will be with me. And that you will too, a bunch of people I have never met but are important to me regardless.
Kudos to you, extremely well done!
And we second the HSLDA recommendation. Even though our state has few restrictions on home schooling, we became life members after looking into the great work that they do.
Our kids all graduated from public school which failed (in my mind) our younger two and that ‘No child left behind program’ was a joke!! They just shoved them on to the next grade without them knowing anything despite all the complaints from me about them not knowing the subject very well at all. My son has dysgraphia (sees individual letters backwards, my daughter had childhood ADHD and bipolar but outgrew it. And don’t even get me started in the bullying issue. My kids were taught to avoid fights and only defend themselves when necessary. The one time my son had enough and threw a basketball at a kids back who had repeatedly thrown it at my son’s head, guess who got in trouble? My son. The other kid got away with it despite us going to teachers, principal and higher. I would have pulled them out and homeschooled if I could have but no knowledge and lacked patience and had to work as well as my husband just to make ends meet. Both of our daughters and one of my brothers are all homeschooling their kids and teaching godly Christian values now. Btw; Having been a bully victim myself, witnessing my younger brother, my son and preschoolers I worked with in MOPS I volunteered with and even with the dogs in our Dog resort We owned and operated, I wrote an article on a solution I implemented that worked if anyone would care to read it I can share sometime.
