She can’t understand why I support Trump. She said I’m not poor, stupid or a hillbilly and she didn’t raise me to be a racist. And she gets enraged when I try to explain my reasons to her and starts yelling or hangs up the phone. Hopefully we don’t have to discuss politics 🙏

This is the approach I take with my brother. Blood is thicker than water, and I'll be damned if I'm going to lose my brother to the Dem's divisive politics.
He doesn't like the fact that Republicans have lied to him. That's a very reasonable opinion. He doesn't like people like McCain and Romney who claimed they would do things and then didn't do them. It's hard to argue with that. So, he switched allegiances. I tell him that Trump is very different from the GOPe. In fact, he's succeeded in taking over the party. No good. He doesn't like Trump because he's a "liar" and has a trashy personal life. My line with him on this is: Trump is a negotiator. He says lots of things. Watch what he does and judge the actions.
Ultimately, he's very proud and quite competitive. He'll never admit he was wrong. Ok fine. I can be an ass too. I love my brother more than I love political purity.
OP needs to just enjoy his time with mom. As you said, time is limited, and once they're gone, the last thing you want is regret.
