If there was just one of his songs that truly epitomizes the current state of the world, that would be Ride Natty Ride.
Everyone here needs to just listen to it once w/ lyrics.
I am not saying Bob Marley is prophetic, but those lyrics from this obscure late 70s song punch a whole lot deeper in the 2020s. Bob Marley was BASED, just in his own way. And when you start researching the Rasta meanings of Zion vs. Babylon, it gets even weirder. There is stuff there that the causal music fan just won't see.
But Bob most definitely knew...
The man definitely was in tune with something... Cheers fren...
I'm based in my own way too. I know a ton of people that are seriously BASED, but you wouldn't know it because it's their own way.
Most of the Jamaicans that make it to the US are based. Old Wayan's show Living Color had a regular bit called Ey Mon about a Jamaican family. Criticized anyone not having more than 2 jobs. "You lazee ting, you need 3 job at least, no, 4 job. How you get by?".
I didn't take that as a criticism of the lazy, but a gripe that it can take 4 jobs just to "get by". Working 4 jobs because that's what you have to do to get by is not something anyone should strive for or accept as normal. I think Bob would know that. I interpret the song differently.
I bet you're a lot of fun at parties.
Right? Haha.
Absolutely fren... Cheers...
Which Marley did... Cheers fren...
A truly remarkable individual. He grew up in squalid poverty. I remember reading when he was a kid he was hungry one day and once complained that his stomach hurt. A supporting friend offered the only advise he could provide and that was to drink water. They had no money to buy food. From that time on Marley lifted himself up and became what we now recognize as a musical genius. It was Bob Marley that made Reggae music spread worldwide. Reggae influenced rock bands like the Rolling Stones and other English bands.
Just as John Lennon's popularity was a threat to the Deep State, Bob Marley's popularity was too. IMHO, Bob Marley was murdered by a chemical toxin that caused a very aggressive cancer. The oddity of his aggressive cancer is too much of an anomaly to ignore. Then, there is the confession of a certain assassin.
79-year-old Bill Oxley, ex-agent of America’s Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is re-writing the history of the death of reggae legend Bob Marley, claiming he actually killed the legend. Of course, all the "fact-checkers" were out in force to debunk this news. Right, we are to believe Marley was just another great one that died so young.
Interesting fren... Thank you for the lesson... It is very much appreciated... Cheers...
