I live in a county that has exactly one grocery store. It is 70 miles away. However, I can go to the next county and there is one only 10 miles from here. I think this may be a little misleading.
LOL… what’s the purpose of this article? I grew up on a ranch where it was 30 miles to a big grocery store… not a problem. People stocked up as needed for the winter, etc. Writers of these articles just CANT IMAGINE living so far from a supermarket… they are shocked.
I was wondering where the article is about democrat city neighborhoods that have no stores because it’s too dangerous to be in business there…
Another thought… this article serves to point out how very abundant this nation is… food everywhere in large quantities, except for remote rural areas.
And the problem is....???? We live in these areas because it keeps the majority of the dumbasses out.
Simple.
To be fair, they're not counting Dollar General.
That article is complete BS. Terrell TX has a fair amount of grocery stores, not even counting the WalMart stores.

And we live in these areas because we like it that way.
There are 3,143 counties in the United States. Seventy-six don’t have grocery stores. So what?
And they could have one in the next county 2 blocks away.
