I thought the core had to heat to 1400 Kelvin before being harmful. Maybe that is inaccurate or maybe the Ukrainians are using this as propaganda against Russia.

1400 Kelvin = 2060 Fahrenheit. I don't know if that fire would have gotten that hot. Others would know better than I though.
I've seen pyro gauges on diesel truck get over 1700 F. 2060 is not that hot.
