Why is the US in a drug shortage emergency?

The shortage is preventing cancer patients from getting the treatment they need

Shortages of pain meds has been increasing for months now, last month and this month has been really bad.

Praying it doesn't get any worse or many people will be in serious trouble.

It hurt bad. Things ripped inside from normal moment. I'm a athletic badass now because I'm doing these things.
