Pedes, I need to buy a safe that has to be secured in concrete or something similar. Don’t need a real big one, so not a gun safe. A few pounds of “retirement” will be going into it. I’ll need to have it installed. I’m in the southeast. Can you guide me?
This may be a dumb idea but… if you are trying to keep things safe from average burglars (as opposed to your family) you might consider hiding your stuff in plain sight. Examples are old books hollowed out with a lock box inside, on a shelf with a lot of other old books. Or an old coffee can with stuff hidden below a pile of nuts and bolts in the garage. This concept works for situations where you don’t expect a raid by the FBI or someone skilled in finding hidden safes. Also works best of your home is somewhat cluttered. I’ve also seen on Amazon fake air conditioning grills that install into a wall and look like the real thing. There are many such things to buy, or get ideas about online. If you can do carpentry, it’s not hard to add a hidden drawer behind the kick plate of a kitchen cabinet.
I've seen those fake cans of drink too be used in a fridge, but then I've seen videos where crooks grab a child one before heading out, too...
