The survivors are the reason Epstein Island got any public exposure. No one sees the victims of sex trafficking as "slutty gold digging whores." Blaming the victims and calling them trailer trash is just disgusting. Although many of the victims of sex trafficking are lured into it, many others are sold or forced into it against their will.
The reason this did not end with Virginia giving her testimony is because the wealthy and powerful who frequented the island are suppressing the release of their names and involvement, not because people see the victims as gold digging whores. Do you really thing that peoples' opinion has any say in the release of the information? It will all come out, but this is only part of the awakening part of the plan to show the extent of the corruption.
I do have sympathy for Cardi B, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, and anyone else who gets lured into sex trafficking, especially during childhood. Cardi B was no doubt lured into her former lifestyle with promises of fame and fortune. Apparently she realized that the price she had to pay for that lifestyle was too high and rejected it before it was too late.
I respectfully disagree. I would not put cardi b and britney spears in the same category.
I never said that I look at virginia and see a gold digging whore. And I was never putting blame on sex trafficking victims.
Being a survivor of sexual assault myself, I 100% know that not every single person looks at you with empathy. I have been down the road of judgment and I know what some people see when it's not empathy. I stand by my comments.
No, you said that most people look at Virginia and see a gold digging whore. You said she was trailer trash with gold stars in her eyes. Why would you even think that most people see her that way?
You are blaming the victims of sex trafficking when you call them gold digging whores.
I'm sorry that you were sexually assaulted and for the trauma inflicted on your life. It seems that you consider yourself a survivor rather than a victim, but that doesn't give you the right to disparage others who truly are victims. Too many people today seek victim status for the power it provides them but people who are trafficked are actual victims deserving of support.
With all due respect, I do not feel I was victim blaming at all. And I really don't have any more words for you. Other than we are going to have to agree to disagree.
