I’m 56. I’ve endured many conversations about the millennial new name for “Karen’s” which is supposed to represent my age group or younger generation who ‘behave,’ like a “Karen!”
The fundamental change, I see in the workplace, which no one seems to be talking about is mental illnesses !
I can see entitlement, it flows from my generation to millennials. I see it with elderly and anyone who has a moment of entitlement.
However, what I am seeing that seems to be more characteristic of their generation is mental illness. Autism, high functioning, autism, mental illness, low IQ sensitivity to emotion. It all seems to be characteristic of this generation.
Communication is not there strong point! Anyone else dealing with this in a daily basis?
I am seeing it in my workplace, I’m seeing it at restaurants with staff, at any type of service industry, it seems to be quite prevalent!
You are not alone. Young workers, lots of lbgtaxzefg's, they demand paid mental health days off, don't do shit when they are there and God forbid if you misgender one if them. They have cry closets for that. All of them are on some sort of coping medication, yet another excuse to go home, " I'm out of meds and feel unstable" It's pathetic. These people are still living with their parents, screaming at them for Hot Pockets. When mom and dad are gone and they've blown all the equity in the house, they are gonna be living with Julio down by the schoolyard.
