Is it so the Left can claim all evidence against them is AI generated. i.e. Hunter Laptop videos?

UMmmm, maybe. But history shows that all "disruptive technology" (technology that has an immediate and profound change) is adopted rather quickly, spreads far and wide, and appears everywhere.
The printing press; Gutenberg invented movable type printing press in 1436, the first bibles were printed in 1455. Pretty soon, Germany and then Europe was flooded with affordable books, pamphlets and leaflets pushing advertising or political causes, and then newspapers sprung up. Because they didn't have quick means of communication back then, it took a little longer (the first newspaper didn't come about until about 1600) but that was pretty quick for the times.
AI has come about recently because people have access to large computing frames. Sure, there is definitely some risk involved, and it will be misused by some people -- think printing press and counterfeit currency -- but that is ALWAYS the risk with a new technology. It's human nature to find dark ways of using things. That's why we have computer security, because the digital age spawned a new class of criminals.
The Left most assuredly will try to use AI for their own agenda, but so will the Right, Christians, Muslims, stock traders, and average Joe's like me.
Many AI operations can run on the average gaming computer or in general any computer with a powerful Graphics Processing Unit. And those are getting faster now the way CPUs were getting faster in the early 00s
