Day 1 of me spending nothing and being happy.
💥 THIS IS THE WAY. 💥
I have zero active subscriptions, digital or otherwise going into June. Not eating out at all either. With three freezers full of meat, bread to last the month, and milk restocked ahead of time, the only likely out of pocket expense for me in these 30 days will be fuel. I prepaid any bills for utilities and whatnot, so my transactions for this month should literally be zero.
This will be a fascinating experiment on just what I can in fact live without regardless.
Good for you. I love it. When I was 30, I paid off the line of credit that I carried with me all through my 20's and became addicted to not spending. During the lockdown I kicked it into high gear and was basically only making purchases every 2 weeks or so. No fast food, no junk food, no useless purchases. I hope you find it as satisfying as I did.
On a side note, I believe that since our vote is a joke and our governments are corrupted to the core, the greatest real power we yield is where and how we spend our money. We actually have more power than we realize. When I hear about which company to boycott next I know it will not affect me because I know for a fact they are already not getting a cent from me. Our society is addicted to spending because it has been ingrained into them with advertising since birth. Unplug from it all and people may realize that increasing their personal wealth is much more satisfying than having that useless piece of Chinese garbage delivered to their doorstep every day by Amazon.
From time to time here is very useful knowledge posted. One can't stress enough this:
You are SO on target. Expect the glowies to show up in 3...2...1...
I applaud this. Now,if we could all disabuse ourselves from credit cards, that would be the start of a paradigm shift to reality, it would cripple the cabal acutely. We could eat without spending a dime on food for a month, I still have to pay the phone and electric bill for June. I do little retail shopping, "use it up, wear it out, do with or do without" has been the motto of this household for 3 decades. Putting savings into silver or gold, not the bank. I get paid 2x a month, and from that, I make sure to spend 400 a month on silver, I squirrel it away, and do not touch it unless I need something (like a new car) and I can buy that with cash, from the savings. Sure, I will never own a cabin cruiser, but, I do have a 12 ft boat with teeny put put outboard. It floats as good as anything on the lakes, and sitting in the middle of a lake at sunset, fishing for poor mans lobster (perch), certainly makes me feel rich and blessed. I say, disengage from the corruption any way you can, your wallet has more power than your vote.
