Even with all of these abuses and usurpations - and more - the United States of America is still genuinely the best country in the world and YOU have the power to make it better. Local action = national impact.
What abuses and usurpations would you add to the list?
And how are you planning to take action on a local level?
I really don't get the issue with #1, sure you can say they're too high but if they were abolished would you be paving your own roads? Running your own power lines? You are aware of what that $ pays for right?
Property tax means you never actually own it...you're just leasing it from the government, and if you stop paying they will take it from you. That is un-American.
If we need taxes as a society to support basic infrastructure, they can use the gas taxes, sales taxes, income taxes, etc without property taxes.
Who knows where that property tax $ goes...I know for sure that a large portion of that goes to highly paid "homeless advocates" and yet many cities are overrun by homeless people. My city has crumbling roads and bridges all over the place and the schools are in bad shape.
Why are all the roads still shit? I remember as a kid they would pave them at least every other year. Now they just patch them, and haven't paved any near me in over a decade. Where is the money going? Not to infrastructure. Of course my little city has turned very blue, and I need to get out.
