they are removing the API's ability to connect to third party apps... hmm...

its being met with much resistance over there... although I don't know much about reddit and don't even have an account there, so i could be wrong
In fact, as I mentioned in another reply, this is going to kill bots that use the API to perform such tasks as spell checking and even the famous Remind Me! bot.
As an example, here's a bot that all it does is check for misspelling of the word "Privilege"-

Funny part is it's going to also stop mods from autobanning people who subscribe to /r/conservative, etc.
Reddit might become fun very quickly once comments aren't autopurged for containing certain key words, etc.
