I saw that live on Dutchsinse's channel.

The fires are too big to be started by some coordinated arsonists. He said that a 50-acre controlled burn in his area, was not even visible from space.

His theory is that the heat is coming up from underneath (i.e. from some sort of magma action; or from space.
