There are small arms weapons manufacturers and there are the big weapons makers. We can't paint them both with one broad brush. We have the right to bear arms. The ones we own don't start wars with other nations. They may prevent other nations from invading us but they are not a cause for concern with other peaceful people.
The big weapons that cost hundreds of $billions cause the problems. They are made with assuring us it's to protect the American people. But when our politicians use them to create wars abroad, leave them in the hands of terrorists as with the Afghani Taliban, use them as chess pieces to foment color revolutions abroad, distract the public from seeing how deep state actors and 3 letter agencies are trafficking kids, conducting bio-weapons research, protecting narco-terrorist movement of drugs, then they are a huge problem. Think here about all the weapons being given to Ukraine. The politicians pay for these with taxpayer money and in return get kickbacks, lobbyist jobs after getting voted out of office, board of director seats, book deals, campaign contributions, a share of the dirty money etc. This is war profiteering of the worst kind.
