Putin made clear he thought it would have been better if the 1917 Revolution had never happened, and that he believed there was nothing to celebrate.

I have a very possible theory. I think China wants the US and Russia to fight each other so that they can be weakened and China has no real competition after that. The world is theirs for the taking.
