There are Teslas out there with 1+ million miles on 15 year old batteries; they are lasting longer than originally designed. New batteries are doing even better
Quantumscape is one of the leading think tanks. But there are hurdles between lab and mass production
The Tesla Semi should be an interesting vehicle to watch
Trucks are going to be a logistical nightmare. There is not enough parking for trucks now. Add in have to charge when you park and there are going to be alot of trucks that won't be able to charge when they stop for the night. And to be honest with you, most drivers care less about the truck and just beat it up and run it till it quits and say I need another truck.
I expect automatic driving to change the landscape dramatically

Drivers will become much like Harbor Pilots. They will pick up trucks 10-20 miles out of a major city, and navigate them to/from the destination. Working them through the traffic and construction. Days will be shorter and higher pay. Once the loaded or unloaded truck is returned to the city limit “Harbor Station, the driver exits and sends the load on its way
Industry will be transformed
