The actual newspaper clipping saved intentionally, was about my dad in his youth and his ten-pin bowling league scores long, long ago. But when I turned it over...rather blew my mind to see that it was something written by a London resident during Nazi attacks. I am posting here, what it said, exactly. The portion of the article was torn in an irregular manner.
"...by further attacks. Additional casualties were reported today from that big port city. Six bombs demolished a housing development in a southeast coastal town, killing a mother and her two children. There were six known dead and others injured in one of the counties ringing London, and the raider also bombed a town in Wales, two cities in the southwest and an east Anglia town where one was killed. Here in London, curious blue-white beams stabbed the sky, paralleling the ground and with no visible connection to it, suggesting the employment of the Daily Mail described only yesterday as a new "mystery weapon" for defense".
Blue / White Beams (flag). No visible connection (home nation). Mystery Weapon (possibly media?). Six bombs. Six dead. In London, the cosmopolitan city and very near future helper to the formation of Israel.
I think this is part of a message describing something else entirely, but could be mistaken. Some things just jumped out a little. Be good to have known the whole article. Messages were commonly sent through media such as this. (and continue to be..)
