I saw an interview with James Cameron and Robert Ballard. James eluded to the fact that the carbon wound sub design would never work at those depths and Stockton was warned of this? It just seems weird that a billionaire and his son were willing guinea pigs.

If you look at the photo gallery on the Daily mail article, there are two photos that show the bow of the Titanic through the view port that look like photoshopped stock photos. Do we really know these photos were from two different dives to the Titanic? Everything about this seems suspect.
