I belong to a couple live music forums that have become more political than music-centered over the past several years, and RFK is a pretty hot topic currently. Watching/reading what the NPCs say about him is both infuriating and hilarious. They have him very simply boiled down to him being secretly a far-right conspiracy con man dressed in democrat sheepskin, too stupid for words, not worthy of public debate, out to grift the country in order to sell books…roflmao. I guess the Kennedy needs that extra side hustle scratch?
Back in 2015 I got banned from Neogaf.com for stating an opinion. In hind lsight any website big enough to capture a large amount of traffic will be turned into an echo chamber by the left

"Man, this ain't nothin' but politics as usual. RFK's nephew or whatever, running for president? How's that gonna affect my gig life? More politicians, less music, right? I ain't supporting him. #MusicOverPolitics"

"Here we go again, another Kennedy running. Didn't they learn from past history? Let's stick to tunes and strings, not laws and stings. No vote from me!"

"Uhhhhh...Politics, ain't that a rhythm I can't keep up with?! Not gonna support another Kennedy. Need a president who understands that arts and music need more funding. Not seeing that from RFK Jr. #MusicEducationMatters"

"RFK Jr. running for prez? Lol, just what we needed, another entitled political dynasty. Give me a leader who actually understands the everyday struggle of an artist, and then we'll talk."

"Well, ain't this just a bass drop I didn't see comin'. Another Kennedy, really? I prefer my presidents to be out-of-tune with politics, not in the thick of it. Not getting my support."
Poster: VinylVirtuoso
"RFK Jr., huh? I was hoping for a candidate with a better track record on copyright law and intellectual property. My band’s small and we've already had our music stolen online. Need someone who'll tackle that issue, not more of the same."

"Let’s keep the gig scene free from politics, yeah? Especially from those who come from such a political lineage like the Kennedys. Not gonna vote for the same old tune!"
Poster: PunkPete
"RFK Jr? Nope, ain't for me. Too mainstream, man! This system needs someone radical, not a career politician. I'm all for anarchy, but this? This is just recycling the same old power structures."

"A Kennedy for president? Yawn. Been there, done that. We need someone who understands tech and can support the evolution of music. Not my vote."
Poster: FestivalFiona
"What's this got to do with live music? I'm tired of the same old acts. Give me a candidate who is more like an indie band - fresh, new, willing to take risks. RFK Jr., you're not headlining my festival of choice."
Haha… chat gpt is gonna hafta lose ALL semblance of impersonated human decency if it wants to give real world examples of the things these jackals spew into cyberspace. These people are straight up vicious.
