That is a wolverine, a mammal that is mostly found in Canada and parts of Alaska. It's a feisty animal that will fight and bite with ferocity when cornered. The blogger of "Knuckle Dragging" uses that photo as sort of a totem or spirit animal that matches his curmudgeonly personality. And I concur, I'm a bit like that too.

p.s. They have nasty personalities too, but they used to be trapped for their fur. They might still be, I don't know much about modern trapping and the fur trade; but back in the late 1700s to early 1800s, wolverine furs were much sought after.
