I tell everybody not to join. Some dumb kid joined after I told him not to then dropped out a few months into his enlistment. Pretty sure it was under other than honorable circumstances. So i lost all respect for him. First he ignored my advice, then he swore an oath and broke it in just a few weeks.

Did you listen to everything your elders said to you when you were a teenager? Some people just dont listen and need to make their own mistakes. Would you have preferred he joined, seen this gay shit and stayed to defend it just because he made an oath to?
