Wait, what?
I actually skimmed through the last ~15 min of the video & was listening to the man in question speak. It's Dr. Timothy Smith who the board voted to fire / terminate.
Can we get some extra help asking for confirmation on this?
That Dr. Smith did NOT speak like a leftist at all & I'm going to be a little surprised if he was the one pushing to try to sexualize kids....
But what do I know......
ETA:
Found some articles that shed light on this. Also would greatly, greatly appreciate if people put more info into their OP's; where TF is this district even located?
I'm shocked how many local newspapers / blogs don't even put their state ANYWHERE on their page; they just say "Sunshine County!" or "Littleton City"
This situation is in Escambia School District, Pensacola Florida.

Above article gives info that Dr. Smith did NOT in fact work to remove openly inappropriate books from the school libraries & there are a ton more articles on pnj.com
No BS paywalls or pop-ups either!
Hi! I'm from Pensacola. There is way more to the story, but the book banning is one of the straws on the camel's back. Tim Smith is an outsider who was "appointed" by our school board and instead of promoting from within, brought in friends from his area and diversity hires for school board positions. He also majorly screwed up a charter school negotiation. There is a lot to it, but a lot of people are happy to see him go.
Crazy.... Thanks for the info, fren!
