A local tow company had one that was in an accident. On the 4th fire of the day,they put the car in a dumpster and had the fire dept fill it with water.
Some scrap yards have built concrete stalls to put them in.if they catch fire,they just let them burn out.
Water...... the absolute worst thing for a lithium fire, lithium reacts very violently when in contact with water. But firemen know what they are doing.
I had an electric car...when I was 10. I loved the smell of the slot cars tearing around the track in my bedroom.
and they never blew up either
Iām curious as to where all these large battery packs are going to be put once the electric cars are done. Going to be a very toxic landfill

In Europe they have a truck with the water filled dumpster and a crane to drop the burning car into it. Part of the city fire department equipment.
