It's been hot here, but we've gotten a lot of rain lately, so the corn is growing like weeks. A lot of the sweet corn is already being picked. We have some of it in our freezer already. The field corn is doing good, not yet tassling.

Some seeds need more warmth to germinate. There are warming pads you can put under trays for germination. Some hard to germinate seeds can be helped by scratching them with a knife so the moisture can get in. Be mindful of planting depth. For example, tobacco seeds have to be planted on top of the dirt so sunlight will shine on them.
