What you are saying started with Calvin in the 1500's. Replacement Theology where the Church replaces Israel is never taught in the Bible.
Rom 9:4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;
Rom 9:5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
Rom 11:1 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
Rom 11:2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying,
Rom 11:3 Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.
Rom 11:4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.
Rom 11:11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.
You can look up Replacement Theology on the web and see it's origins. God made a solemn promise to Abraham, Issac and Jacob and because He could swear by no greater, He swore by Himself. Israel has been blinded because they rejected Jesus as their King, thereby opening a way for the Gentiles to be grafted in. Israel is the root and we are grafted in. Israel's destiny is to go through the Tribulation. Rev. is the Book of the future. The Church is taken out before the Tribulation begins. The Church is not mentioned after Chapter 5 in the Book. The Church is taken out, and then the Man of Sin is revealed. Israel will look at his as the true Messiah because he will bring them peace, establishing a 7 year peace plan with them only to break it is the middle of the week. A lot of false teachings have come about including Amillennilalism.
Replacement theology is the same thing, just a more recent rendition. The Church is under the New Covenant. The Jews do not recognize Jesus as the Messiah-YET, but they will. They will eventually call "on the One they pierced" and Jesus will save them.
When I speak of Israel, I speak of the Nation of Israel. I am not sure how many in the country of Israel are Israelites but God re-established the Nation of Israel after 2600 years of not being a nation just as He said He would. Not because Israel is righteous but God said He was doing it for His sake, to prove He is God. Ezek. 36

Eastern orthodox belive in supersessionism and that predates calvinism by a thousand years
so a simple question are we to hold to the mosaic covenant or is Christ the new covenant?

Do you at least see a distinction between True Israel and national Israel?
