Initially, I would have some sympathy. COVID was killing people right and left (according to the numbers) and people were scared. It is natural to want to protect children and vaccines were seen as a pathway to do that. As an expression of that basic protective instinct, I can understand.
However, I'm also an a-hole who likes data and is trained to evaluate it. CDC lied about the hospitalization and the mortality figures. They grossly inflated the numbers by defining those two figures as broadly as possible. They included people if COVID was present rather than by specifying that COVID was the reason why they were hospitalized or dead. If you died in a car wreck or following a multi-year battle with metastatic cancer and happened to test positive, you got lumped in, and CDC absolutely knew better.
FDA overstated the vaccine efficacy. Both CDC and FDA underestimated the adverse effects in a dozen different ways to make that vaccine look like the miracle they wanted it to be. Instead, it was ineffective and had a lot of nasty adverse effects that FDA and CDC refused to acknowledge let alone investigate until #diedsuddenly became a meme and people figured it out on their own. To this day, they still haven't made a proper review of VAERS data or a proper review of the lot-by-lot safety signal. Meanwhile, Pfizer and Moderna got filthy rich.
This is a woman who damn well should have known better. If lowly me without all of those fancy titles and credentials she has can figure it out, this self-professed "the expert" should have damn well been able to calculate a proper NNT and NNH in an age stratified way to know that giving this stuff to kids was totally unnecessary in all but the rarest cases where kids had immune compromise or a severe underlying respiratory disease. She looks like a whackjob and she behaved like one. Let her answer to a Nuremberg 2.0 tribunal on capital charges as far as I'm concerned.
