I live in coastal NC, and this might be the one time I'm happy to see a tropical storm brewing.

I live in the coastal plains of NC near the Cape Fear River. Still not happy to see any Hurricane hit here (even one named after a Donald) after being flooded out of my home by Hurricane Flo in 2017. Took me a year and thousands of dollars to get back into my home

We're probably within an hour of each other. I'm just to the northeast of you near the bases. I definitely don't wish for any storm for our area after what happened in 2018. Sorry to hear what happened to you.

Florence was 2018 I believe.. But yes all hurricanes are destructive when they hit the Outer Banks of N.C. and your area..
