I'm with you on that. The problem would be by that stage the authorities would demand that people live where the authorities can monitor them.

Free people would have no choice but to "go bush", into the wilderness. The authorities would consider that an unlawful act.

It would now be on for young and old. The insurgency against the oppressive authorities would now "go hot".

I can't see it getting that far. Free people would have no choice but to defend themselves by all means necessary.
