This is another boomerang incoming for the democrats. Allows Trump to insert the evidence that the democrats/DS/foreigners were really responsible for J6 and the actual insurrection. Involvement in the cover up also makes a lot of them co-conspirators. This all has to look somewhat normal. Many of them have already been taken out. Causing them to be ineligible to run/hold office permits a plausible reason for their disappearance from the political scene.
