The idea of dividing things into black and white (hats) isn't so straightforward. There's something to be said about his checkered past, the manipulation of documents and other actions to prop him up and embellish his accomplishments - "Judge them by their fruits"

Call me jaded but...the more recent "outing" of mother Teresa and the Dali lama just confirms my spidey sense about 99.5% of all public characters and the fact that they aren't my kin & they don't share the same morality as people like us. We don't really know the whole story of his involvement with possible white hat operations and weren't able to listen in on his WH visit with Trump.

It seems like for every Ying he does or says that we like, there's an opposite Yang that calls his loyalty (for lack of better term) into question. That's never a solid situation - hold that up against your own personal friendships... you'd be less than pleased.
