Just spent last 3 weeks in S Africa. My BIL house builder introduced me to Rugby. He played semi pro, think they call it provincial.
We watched the Springbok vs All Blacks game.
S Africa vs New Zealand.
New Zealand destroyed S Africa. Uwe, my BIL builder explained that S Africa is handicapped big time. They can only have 50% Afrikaans and rest of team, blacks.
What i saw was the most physical man to man ever. Had no clue.
80 minutes with 1 ten minute break. Zero commercials during play.
I asked him, "do you know who Derek Henry is?"
He chuckled, "yeah and I know more than 30 people that never played pro rugby that would annihilate him in a 10 yard face off."
I believed him.
Our world is not as it seems in so many ways.
Yes, I thought the NFL was the summit of athletic prowess, until I sat with a guy who played semi pro rugby and explained that Springbok vs All Blacks game.
Was blown away.
To me?
That game was NFL times 100 in terms of physicality.
We are conditioned to believe things that are not true. I was embarrassed that I fell for it, in regards to the prowess of NFL players.
Sigh.
The All Blacks are the leading team in Rugby Union. They always put on a good show.
What did you think about the "Hakka"(I hope I spelt that right, the Kiwis will Lynch me!)
If you are talking about the war cry at start of game? Very cool.
Uwe told me that the S Africans used to get in their face during the war chant but are no longer allowed to.
He also said new Zealand have 3 world cups as does S Africa. Next in line is Australia with 2.
Worlds start on September 8 this year and both s africa and new Zealand are favorites.
Will be watching.
Do the Hawaiians perform a similar war cry? The Maories are pretty extreme. Very impressive to see them perform it.
That is a good rabbit hole you opened up. How we all have been manipulated with bread and circuses to keep us distracted and compliant while they plot to get rid of us.
Along these lines is the manipulation of Military history. Now that's a great rabbit hole!
