You make no sense. 95% of the electricity used by an incandescent light bulb is given of as heat, 5% as light. That is the whole story. Where is this damned inefficiency you are arguing about?
I'm going to try to put this another way: An Incandescent light bulb is an extremely inefficient lighting apparatus, since only 5% of the electricity that it consumes is converted to light. I think we can all agree up to this point. My point was and still is that, WHEN YOU NEED HEAT, the 95% of the electricity that the incandescent light bulb consumes and turns into heat is NOT WASTED, not one bit. Your statement about gas being better or cheaper is irrelevant. P.S. I do not think you are ignorant, just obtuse. Peace out.
