#ThePersistence @ScottPresler What I’m about to say to you is meant with love & respect:
I understand how upset voters are w/ the Republican Party leadership. I’ve been reaching out to Chairwoman McDaniel for 110 days w/o a response.
With that being said, I’m here for one reason — to make Joe Biden a one-term president.
Despite the fact that the GOP won’t listen to the grassroots, I’m cognizant that many states have closed primaries. This means that you can’t vote for Trump or DeSantis until you’re registered as a Republican.
If you change your voter registration status to independent, you are actually hurting Trump & DeSantis, as you won’t be able to vote in
AZ, CA, CT, DE, FL, KS, KY, LA, MD, ME, NE, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OR, & PA.
Stay registered as a Republican, so you can vote for your favorite candidate.
This (closed primaries) crap needs to be stopped. We should only need to be identified as a legal voter. Our "leanings" are none of their business.
I don't want a bunch of commies picking our gop candidates......
Not talking about you,but they are closed for a good reason.
And that's not going on now?
Not here in oklahoma, I don't know about your state. But either way, why make it easy for them. If they select some sob gop candidate, they can win in the general much easier.
Open primary are a complete scam. They have it in the liberal states, that should tell you all you need to know.
I'm in TN. NOT a liberal state.
But cheaters gonna cheat and being able to map out the red/blue is used to their advantage such as the AZ fiasco. Gerrymandering.
It's a mixed bag for open/closed primaries by liberal/conservative states https://worldpopulationreview.com/state-rankings/open-primary-states
Illinois is as liberal as you can get, just signed a law saying an illegal under the DACA(spelling) can apply to be a police officer!! And we have closed primaries!
Amen to that!
I suppose it's to stop people from cancelling out the strongest oppositional candidate in the primaries before they vote their candidate in the general election.
Yes. It's a two-edged sword, just another way to game the system..
If your going to have primaries, they will be open or closed, I don't know of a third option..
There are caucuses, which are perfect for cheating.
The problem is the two private corporation political crime cartels.
Exactly!
