Did the comms of death sentence trials (on a remote Island) seem especially obvious to you? I was wondering if it represented ongoing activity, or future.
The folks in The Menu went their willingly and the death came from a maniac. I saw an interview with the writer and he did go to some fancy destination restaurant that was on an island
The folks in Inishiren were stuck there, but mainland was even more violent. The Irish Civil War was going on in the distance on the mainland and I think the movie was about that..
