A nice person tells you what you want to hear. A good person tells you what you need to hear.
Trump isn't always nice. But he does a lot of good.
Calling someone a transgender woman might be nice, but it's not good or right. They are men. It's not good to reinforce the delusion, for them personally, or for all of us as a society.
Good emanates from love. Nice.. often from ego needing to be perceived as good.
Sometimes Good is not all warm and fuzzy, but instead is exactly what another needs to know/experience to grow.
Goodness requires courage.
Also.... Do not confuse my passiveness for weakness.
My dad used to say this!
Love (Greek 'agape') means 'to seek the highest good for the other'.
That means it's not a feeling process, but a thinking process.
To (properly) love, you must first use your intellect to determine what the 'highest good' is.
What is the best course of action to take in the long-term? What are the consequences? What is the evidence?
Love requires thinking.
If we lose the ability to think, we lose the ability to (authentically) love.
It’s like we’re the real counselors and the world at large is our office. If we reinforce the delusion, we’re not helping the patient or the rest of humanity.
