My belief in vaccines has certainly been destroyed the past years, and it puts one in a troubled position when you go against the status quo and prevalent medical ideas.
I didn't get the covid vaccine, while my wife did when she was in residency. With another kid on the way in 8 months, I...no longer believe in vaccines. At all.
So are we as a community against all vaccines now? Or just the covid one?
The only route I see for myself is bring the evidence and sit down and have a discussion. I feel that if I so strongly believe this, and I let my child get vaccinated, then I am a fucking weak man, and have failed my child.
All thoughts appreciated.
I had this argument with my wife. 1000 cases a year of measles VS a 1 in 50 chance of autism. Do the math. 1000 cases a year VS 500,000 kids with autism. You cannot logic your way out of an emotional argument I have heard from a smart person.
