I hope she is alive for the sake of her daughter and grandson — and, of course, all her fans like me.

I saw her perform in Las Vegas when I was 17. I was with my dad and have never been more embarrassed in my life when she did her bit on going to the gynecologist. Cringe!

I can see how awkward that would be...it reminds me of when my mom was in the hospital and I started my period in 6th grade and my dad had to buy the products after we involved a neighbor...cringeworthy for sure...but we grow up and then laugh about going to the gyno like Joan and we have no inhibitions anymore...life is funny like that...what a difference a few years makes...haha...
