Yes, I agree. I pray this way. I never felt a connection when at grade school saying Hail Mary, The Lord's Prayer, etc. I felt I was reciting words. Now, having years of openly speaking to God, when I do say prayers, they have meaning in my heart. Doing something new always feels awkward, so, start slowly.
