US solider defected to North Korea over race issues in Army

North Korean state media said US Private Travis King fled into North Korea in order to escape the 'racial discrimination' of the US Army.

By discrimination he probably means he wasn't celebrated just for being black. In the army, everybody is green, and you've been told your whole life you're special because of your melanin content , that could be quite the eye opening experience
