I wonder if anyone has ever asked BG directly what vaccines have to do with reducing population growth? It seems to me that if vaccines did what they are supposed to do (stop sickness, ie morbidity and mortality) that they would have the opposite effect.
The idea is that it would reduce child mortality which would reduce the number of children a woman chooses to have. This idea is pushed because civilized countries with low child mortality have way lower fertility rates.
Of course, there is no actual proof that it is specifically child mortality that is the biggest factor of women deciding not to have 10 children and have 3-4 of them die.
