This is exactly where we are at. All the animals died after injected with mRNA and then exposed to the original virus in the wild. Now that we are moving into flu season and everyone has trashed their immune systems, they need a cover story for massive amounts of fatalities. Their choice is:

Admit you killed everyone and hope they don't hang you, or
Keep lying while the die and blame it on the people who didn't fall for the hoax
